Video, detailed instruction, tackle recommendations, locations, destinations, news and much more for Mahi (Dolphin Fish) fishing!
This is exclusively an offshore fish that is sometimes called Dorado or Mahi-Mahi. They are typically found around debris and offshore lobster buoys and can be trolled, jigged, or baited. They grow fast and are short lived (5 years or so). They love to jump and anything over 30lbs is a “bucket list” fish. Fish over 50lbs are rare and are certainly trophies. These fish need to be photographed quickly as they lose most of their color when they die.
