Weakfish are probably the least understood of all Northeast species. Even the Wikipedia entry is incredibly vague. Their sizes, numbers, and appearances are nearly impossible to predict from one season to the next. They are easy and fun to catch when you can find them, the hard part is finding them! Certainly one of the prettiest fish in the region and reasonably good to eat if put on ice immediately after being caught.
