Rhode Island

Video, instruction and news for inshore and offshore fishing for Rhode Island including Point Judith and Block Island!

Rhode Island may be small, but mile for mile it offers the best fishing in the region. The focal point of the bite is the amazing block Island a mere 16 miles from Montauk Harbor, NY and only 12 miles from Point Judith, RI. It has the very best trophy striped bass bite on the planet which overshadows some exceptional bottom fishing for fluke (summer flounder), porgies, and black see bass. It is an easy run offshore to get into a shark or schoolie tune bite. Northeast Angling has filmed some of its most notable shows in the waters around the island. The inshore bite is highlighted by a great late spring striper run and some exceptional blackfish (tautog) fishing.
